MSM Unify, the global platform connecting students, recruitment partners, and universities across six continents, has appointed Rishi Kapoor as Chief Financial Officer. According to reports from Business Standard and The Hindu BusinessLine, this strategic appointment comes as the company advances its plans for a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Indian stock exchanges, paired with an international listing, targeted for fiscal year 2028. In his new role, Kapoor will oversee financial strategy, fundraising, investor relations, and financial operations across MSM Unify's global markets, including North America, Europe, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), India, Africa, and Australia. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, he will also lead the company's IPO readiness in India and its broader dual-listing strategy across Indian and international markets.
Kapoor brings more than two decades of finance leadership experience across edtech, IT, pharmaceuticals, and supply chain businesses. As reported by Business Standard and The Hindu BusinessLine, he has led the raising of more than USD 135 million in equity and debt capital and successfully executed multiple acquisitions from origination through transaction closure and integration. His direct experience with India's IPO process is central to his mandate at MSM Unify, where he will lead preparation for a listing on Indian exchanges alongside the company's broader public-market ambitions. Over the course of his career, he has played a key role in IPO readiness for high-growth companies by coordinating with key stakeholders, including investment bankers, prospective investors, stock exchanges, and regulatory and compliance authorities.
Before joining MSM Unify, Kapoor served as Chief Financial and Business Officer at Biodeal Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he played a key role in strengthening the company's capital structure and preparing the business for a potential public listing. According to Business Standard and The Hindu BusinessLine, he spent six years at GirnarSoft Education Services (CollegeDekho.com) as Chief Revenue Officer, where he was involved in multiple equity and debt fundraising initiatives and led several strategic acquisition and integration projects. He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and holds a Master of Commerce from Himachal Pradesh University, along with being a chartered accountant by professional qualification and a Lifetime Certified Independent Director registered with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
The appointment comes as MSM Unify continues to expand its presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), India, Africa and Australia, connecting students with universities through a growing network of recruitment partners and institutional relationships built over more than a decade of operations. As reported by Business Standard and The Hindu BusinessLine, Founder Sanjay Laul emphasized that Kapoor's experience in financial strategy, capital raising, and disciplined execution will be invaluable as the company expands across new geographies and prepares for its listing that reflects both India roots and global reach. Commenting on his appointment, Kapoor stated that MSM Unify is solving a real problem for students and institutions around the world and doing so at a scale few companies can match, expressing his commitment to strengthening the company's financial foundation and helping shape its next phase of growth.
Founding Member and President Rohit Kumar highlighted that India is where a large share of the world's outbound students originate, and it is also where MSM Unify's next chapter is being built. According to Business Standard and The Hindu BusinessLine, bringing in a CFO with experience in IPO readiness sends a clear signal to institutional partners, agents and investors that the company is building for scale and the long term, not simply for the next quarter. The appointment reflects MSM Unify's commitment to strengthening its financial foundation and shaping its next phase of growth in the global education technology sector, with Kumar noting that the company is building for scale and the long term rather than focusing on short-term gains.
