
Global technology giant Google has selected 20 Indian startups for the 2026 edition of its Google for Startups Accelerator programme, marking the 10th anniversary of Google's accelerator programmes in India. According to reports from Business Standard, this year's cohort was selected from a pool of around 2,500 applications, with the programme focusing on AI startups across multiple sectors including healthcare, agriculture, finance, climate, cybersecurity and enterprise software. The new cohort reflects the rapid evolution of India's startup ecosystem from traditional large language model (LLM)-based applications to agentic and multimodal AI systems, with startups developing solutions designed to solve complex real-world problems while bringing artificial intelligence into physical environments and enterprise workflows. As per Google, the selected startups demonstrate deepening technical maturity and address significant challenges across climate, healthcare, developer workflows, and finance sectors.
The 2026 cohort includes startups spanning diverse sectors and applications, with each company developing next-generation AI products designed to solve complex real-world challenges. As reported by Google, the selected companies include Adalat AI (legal technology, developing an end-to-end AI-powered justice platform to automate clerical processes and accelerate court case resolution), Aikenist (healthcare, using AI to improve radiology workflows), Aurassure (climate, building AI-driven solutions for hyperlocal climate monitoring and carbon tracking), Ayna (fashion technology, helping brands create AI-powered product catalogues), Binocs (finance, leveraging AI to automate due diligence and compliance), CraftifAI (developer tools, building AI infrastructure and coding models), Dodo Payments (finance, automating merchant services and compliance), FlexifyMe (healthcare, using AI for chronic pain recovery), Fitsol (climate, enterprise sustainability solutions), H2Loop AI (developer tools), CreateOS by NodeOps (developer tools), OnFinanceAI (finance, automating risk management and compliance), Pipeshift (developer tools), PotpieAI (developer tools), Proxgy (wearables, combining AI, IoT and SaaS for enterprise operations), Soundverse AI (music creation tools), SuperBryn (voice AI reliability improvements), TartanHQ (developer tools), Jidoka (manufacturing, AI-powered computer vision systems for automated inspection), and Zeron (cybersecurity, developing AI-powered security agents for vulnerability identification).
The three-month accelerator programme will provide founders with comprehensive support including access to Google's AI technology stack, alongside technical guidance, product development support and go-to-market mentorship aimed at helping them scale their businesses globally. According to reports from Business Standard, the programme is designed to help startups move beyond foundational hurdles to scaled deployment. The selected founders will work closely with Google to refine their products, optimise AI infrastructure, and prepare for scale in domestic and international markets. As per The Hindu, the programme now offers equity-free support, access to Google's AI tools (Gemini, Gemma, Imagen), Cloud TPUs, and 1:1 mentorship from Google experts. The initiative includes a three-month in-person bootcamp followed by ongoing guidance to refine products and prepare for scaled deployment.
