According to the latest Ministry of Commerce and Industry release, these partnerships target digital payments, cloud technology, AI, mobility, funding and global expansion to help startups scale faster and compete globally under the Startup India initiative. The collaborations aim to accelerate startup growth, strengthen technological capabilities, and expand market reach across Indian and international territories, with the partnerships expected to improve startups' access to technology, finance, mentorship and commercial opportunities while strengthening India's innovation-led and globally competitive startup ecosystem. As per The Economic Times, DPIIT will facilitate outreach through the Startup India platform to maximize the impact of these strategic alliances.
Under the collaboration with Cashfree Payments, DPIIT will facilitate access to secure and scalable payment and payout solutions, identity verification and risk management services for eligible startups. The collaboration provides preferential onboarding support and commercial benefits, along with founder workshops, mentoring sessions, AI buildathons, hackathons and knowledge-sharing programmes covering digital payments, compliance, fraud prevention, KYC, cross-border transactions and emerging technologies. According to the latest developments, the collaboration seeks to combine DPIIT's institutional reach with Cashfree Payments' expertise to enable startups to scale efficiently and contribute to India's innovation-led growth.
The partnership with Darwin Dynamics focuses on expanding entrepreneurship across Tier II and Tier III cities and rural areas through mentorship, institutional networks, market opportunities and capacity-building support. The initiative supports startup formalisation, mentorship, market access and capacity building, particularly targeting youth, women entrepreneurs, first-generation founders and innovators from underserved regions. Under the latest framework, Darwin Dynamics will work to facilitate startup formalisation, strengthen entrepreneurship awareness, support capacity-building programmes, and promote innovation in strategic sectors including clean energy, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence, climate technology and advanced manufacturing. The partnership aims to expand the reach of the Startup India initiative by enabling greater access to mentorship, institutional networks, market opportunities and capacity-building support for startups.
The collaboration with Vultr India Pvt Ltd aims to reduce technology infrastructure barriers for startups through improved access to cloud computing resources and digital infrastructure. Eligible startups will receive access to cloud credits, preferential pricing and technical support, along with training on cloud computing, storage, databases, Kubernetes, networking and application deployment. The partnership focuses on strengthening the technology infrastructure available to DPIIT-recognised startups and aims to enhance startups' access to cloud computing resources, technical capacity-building, and digital infrastructure, enabling them to build, scale and innovate more efficiently.
The partnership with Cars24 Services Pvt Ltd focuses on India's mobility and automotive technology ecosystem, with emphasis on artificial intelligence, skilling and founder development. The company plans to support startups through mentorship, mobility and autotech skilling programmes, AI-focused technology initiatives, innovation challenges and hackathons. According to the latest reports, the collaboration aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem by supporting AI-driven innovation, founder development, skilling, investment opportunities and road safety initiatives. The partnership will introduce the Cars24 Founders' Fellowship to mentor entrepreneurs, mobility and autotech skilling programmes, AI support through Cars24 Labs, and a funding platform 'Fuel by Cars24' to connect startups with investors. Additionally, Cars24 will explore investment opportunities in promising mobility and AI ventures, expanding beyond traditional startup support to include capital deployment in high-potential technology sectors, with the collaboration also facilitating investment evaluation and ecosystem engagement.
The MoU with the Council for Startup India (CSI) focuses on investment readiness, corporate partnerships, CFO matchmaking, global market access and international innovation collaborations. According to the official release, CSI will support startups through programmes covering corporate engagement, governance, financial readiness, compliance and international expansion. The collaboration strengthens connections among founders, investors, industry and policymakers to create a more integrated startup ecosystem that extends beyond domestic markets to global opportunities. The MoU is non-binding and may be extended by mutual consent, with the collaboration expected to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge-sharing through joint programmes.
