Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup Yaanendriya has successfully raised ₹15 crore in a seed funding round led by Mumbai-based venture capital fund Piper Serica. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, this represents the company's first institutional venture capital round. The startup, which is building indigenous sensor, navigation and control technologies for robotics, aerospace and critical applications, was previously supported by non-dilutive grant and programme support from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Department of Science and Technology, and the Government of Karnataka.
As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, Yaanendriya is developing the SynCore series of navigation controllers for autonomous robotic platforms and the YDX series of high-precision inertial sensors deployed across global commercial applications. The company is also working on navigation systems and a hardware-agnostic platform for space and critical missions, alongside high-precision Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) inertial sensors for the space sector. The firm has moved beyond research and prototyping stage and has onboarded customers across defence and aerospace, drones and robotics, industrial automation and research applications, with more than 20 customers and over 10 memoranda of understanding.
According to The Hindu BusinessLine, Yaanendriya witnessed revenue of approximately ₹72 lakh in FY26 and recognised further ₹48 lakh revenue during the first quarter of FY27. The company is targeting revenue of approximately ₹5.4 crore for financial year 2027. The startup currently has an order book of around ₹1.5 crore that is yet to be executed. Founder Vamshi Bharadwaj M V explained that during FY26, the focus was on establishing market acceptance through pilot projects across multiple customers and application segments, working with more than 20 customers across 10-12 different segments to identify where products delivered the strongest value.
As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, one of Yaanendriya's significant engagements is an MoU with the 515 Army Base Workshop in Bengaluru to supply components and sensors for its unmanned vehicles. The company has also signed over 10 MoUs with Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL). Founder Vamshi Bharadwaj M V stated that the funding will help scale SynCore and YDX, strengthen its navigation and control platform, and develop indigenous MEMS sensors for the next generation of manned and unmanned platforms. The company plans to collaborate with defence, public-sector and research institutions for the development, validation and deployment of mission-critical sensing, navigation and autonomous-control technologies.
According to The Hindu BusinessLine, Piper Serica has previously invested in deep-tech companies such as Pantherun, ClearTrust, Sixsense, Astrogate, Coratia, Sensesemi, Ubiqedge, and Enlife. Satyadeep Singh of Piper Serica emphasized that autonomous systems will define the next generation of defence, aerospace, industrial automation and mobility, but their foundation lies in technologies that enable machines to sense, navigate and control themselves reliably. The company, founded in 2023 by Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, Vyshak Y, Vijay H P and Aravind Thumbur, plans to use the capital to strengthen research and development, accelerate product development, and expand its portfolio of high-precision navigation systems for mission-critical environments. A part of the funding will be invested in R&D to develop sensors for satellite and space applications.
