AI-first health and wellness startup Cradlewise, which specializes in infant and child sleep solutions, has successfully raised $12 million in a Series A funding round. According to reports from Business Standard, the funding round was led by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management. The company plans to utilize this fresh capital for growth initiatives, channel expansion, product research and development, and geographic expansion into international markets.
Founded in 2017 by Radhika Patil and Bharath Patil, Cradlewise has developed AI-powered smart cribs that combine sensing, learning, and soothing in a closed-loop system. As reported by Business Standard, the technology uses multi-sensor data on movement, sound, sleep state, and context to predict and intervene before a baby fully wakes. The company claims its smart sleep system can save parents up to two hours of effort a day through early detection and motion-based response. The system combines a crib, contactless monitoring, adaptive motion, and a connected app, with the company's integrated manufacturing facility in Pune capable of producing, testing, and packing thousands of cribs each month. Cradlewise's connected products have generated more than 75 million hours of sleep data, which the company uses to improve sleep detection, predict when a baby may stir, and personalize the experience.
According to the founders, Cradlewise aims to expand access through a broader set of online, retail, partnership, and international channels over the next phase. As reported by Business Standard, the company is investing in a broader child sleep roadmap that will take it beyond the crib with software-based sleep routines, related child sleep hardware, and lower-priced entry points. These initiatives are designed to extend the company's offering beyond the 0-24-month infant stage while staying focused on the same parent problem. The startup plans to expand its distribution through online and retail channels, partnerships, and international markets, with the company headquartered in San Francisco and manufacturing operations in Pune. The company currently sells through its own website and ecommerce marketplaces, and plans to expand through offline retail stores, partnerships, and other channels.
To date, Cradlewise has raised a total of $26 million in funding, backed by Sean O'Sullivan Ventures, Footwork VC, Charles River Ventures, 3one4 Capital, and Prudent Investment Management. According to Business Standard, Radix Capital Advisors, led by Abhishek Taparia, served as the investment banking advisor for this round of funding. Anand Batra from 3one4 Capital highlighted the company's differentiated approach, stating that Cradlewise is solving an acute parenting problem with strong unit economics and a roadmap extending beyond infancy. The funding round was completed on September 3, 2026. Prior to this Series A, the startup raised $7 million in its seed funding round in 2021.
