Radiology AI platform CARPL.ai has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank Group's private-sector investment arm. The funding round also included participation from Stellaris Venture Partners and existing investors, as reported by Business Standard. The startup plans to use the funding to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across hospitals and diagnostic centers globally.
The funding will be utilized to expand the company's product offerings, partner network and international footprint across multiple markets. According to Business Standard, the expansion will focus on North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and other emerging markets. CEO Dr Vidur Mahajan emphasized the company's mission to ensure clinicians can confidently utilize the best AI technology available for their patients, building on their position as the world's largest radiology AI marketplace. As reported by CARPL.ai, the company plans to scale its AI-powered radiology marketplace to help radiologists procure third-party medical imaging applications.
CARPL.ai has established itself as a trusted partner for major healthcare institutions, serving four of the five biggest private radiology groups globally and government health systems across multiple countries. As reported by Business Standard, the platform is currently used by government health systems in Brazil, India, Singapore, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. The company has also integrated deeply with leading enterprise PACS providers and earned trust from some of the largest healthcare enterprises globally, who rely on them as their partner in AI and automation journeys.
The platform addresses a significant market gap, providing healthcare providers access to more than 300 AI applications from over 100 partners through a single integration. According to Business Standard, medical imaging accounts for more than 80% of healthcare data, yet AI adoption has remained fragmented despite the availability of more than 1,000 FDA-cleared radiology applications. The company's technology enables healthcare providers to deploy and manage AI across clinical workflows, positioning itself as foundational infrastructure for AI-powered healthcare.
