
B Capital has successfully closed its Ascent Fund III at its hard cap of $500 million in aggregate capital commitments. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the fund was oversubscribed and nearly doubled the size of its predecessor, B Capital Ascent Fund II, which raised $254 million in July 2022. The investment firm announced this milestone on July 7, 2026.
The Fund will invest primarily in Seed, Series A and Series B rounds of companies developing next-generation technologies across healthcare, enterprise, energy and the next frontier sectors. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, B Capital believes AI is driving a new wave of innovation across every sector of the economy, creating opportunities for founders building foundational technologies that will power the next generation of global industries. The fund will focus on key innovation hubs in North America and Asia.
According to the announcement, Ascent Fund III has already invested in more than 20 high-conviction companies across AI infrastructure, robotics, healthcare and frontier technologies.
