Alpha AMC has set an ambitious target of ₹1,000 crore for its flagship VentureX SME Fund, which has already achieved significant momentum in the market. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the fund has crossed total commitments of ₹223 crore as of April 30, 2026, demonstrating strong investor confidence in the SME investment strategy. The fund focuses on investing in small and medium enterprises at the pre-IPO and IPO stage, identifying businesses with strong fundamentals and high-growth potential before broader institutional participation.
As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, Alpha AMC's CEO and Fund Manager Rajesh Singla emphasized that the firm focuses on investing in small and medium enterprises at the pre-IPO and IPO stage. The fund has deployed over ₹90 crore across high-growth SMEs and has screened more than 1,100 investment opportunities, selecting only 34 companies for investment. The portfolio includes notable firms such as JD Cables, Alpex Solar and Accent Microcell. Singla noted that the biggest wealth creation opportunities often emerge in businesses that are still in their growth phase, as smaller, fundamentally strong companies can scale faster and create disproportionate long-term value for investors.
According to The Hindu BusinessLine, Alpha AMC plans to expand its product offerings through multiple channels. The company plans to establish a Mauritius-based feeder fund for overseas investors, a smallcase product for retail participation, and eventually a mutual fund platform. The expansion strategy aims to capture investment opportunities across various sectors including clean energy, technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and cables and wires. As reported by the company, these initiatives are designed to provide broader accessibility to the SME investment opportunities that Alpha AMC has been successfully targeting.
