Gurugram-based real estate developer Signature Global reported a net loss of ₹16.5 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with a net profit of ₹34.4 crore in the corresponding period last year. According to reports from CNBC TV18, revenue from operations declined 36.2% year-on-year to ₹552 crore from ₹865.6 crore, while the company reported an EBITDA loss of ₹44.7 crore, compared with an EBITDA profit of ₹33 crore a year earlier. The company's latest earnings call reveals that Q1 pre-sales reached ₹1,970 crore, representing 20% of its full-year target of ₹10,000 crore, while the segment generated ₹5,433.8 crore in revenue during the quarter. The company's NBFC business contributed ₹7.45 crore and other businesses added ₹1,924.17 crore.
For the first time since its inception, Signature Global is venturing beyond its core Delhi-NCR market, targeting low-rise and large-format developments spread across 100-150 acres in new markets. As reported by Business Standard, Chief Financial Officer Rajat Kathuria said the firm would focus on mid-income developments in these new geographies, with the strategy designed to gain market relevance quickly. These developments could resemble the company's under-development integrated township projects, such as Daxin Vistas in Sohna and City of Colours alongside the Delhi-Jaipur Highway in Gurugram. The company registered launches worth ₹4,400 crore in Q1FY27 and has more launches planned during the third and fourth quarters, particularly around Diwali.
The company attributed the decline primarily to the timing of revenue recognition rather than weak underlying demand. As reported by CNBC TV18, unlike many businesses that record revenue when a sale is made, real estate developers typically recognise revenue only after projects reach specified stages of completion under accounting standards. The June-quarter performance was largely impacted by this timing difference, with homes sold today appearing as revenue months or years later as construction progresses. The latest earnings call confirms this pattern, with Q1 collections of ₹6.7 billion falling below the company's typical ₹10-11 billion quarterly range, primarily due to project milestones slipping into Q2 rather than demand weakness. Customer collections declined to ₹6.7 billion during the quarter from ₹9.3 billion a year earlier, though the company expects collections to strengthen over the remainder of FY27 as more ongoing projects near completion.
One of the biggest takeaways from the company's update was the visibility provided on future revenue. According to CNBC TV18, Signature Global said projects currently under execution are expected to generate around ₹73.4 billion (₹7,340 crore) in revenue recognition and approximately ₹15.8 billion (₹1,580 crore) in customer collections over the next four to five quarters. Management maintained its full-year FY 2027 guidance with expectations of ₹15,000 crore in new launches, ₹10,000 crore in pre-sales, and more than ₹5,000 crore in revenue recognition. The company expects to complete projects with more than ₹5,000 crore in gross development value during the year, with management comfortable about achieving the ₹100 billion pre-sales target for the full year. For real estate developers, future revenue depends not only on selling homes but also on completing construction milestones, and a sizeable execution pipeline provides greater confidence that revenue deferred today could flow into future quarters as projects are delivered.
Shares of Signature Global have faced significant pressure in recent months, with the stock declining 12.20% over the past 6 months and 1.84% on Friday by the end of trading. According to the latest data, the current stock price of ₹800 represents a steep 31% decline from its 52-week high of ₹1,158. The company ended Q1 with a robust financial position, maintaining ₹25 billion in cash and bank balances with net debt below ₹3.9 billion. Despite the quarterly challenges, Signature Global has demonstrated strong market position, having sold properties worth ₹8,250 crore during the 2025-26 fiscal to become the fifth-largest real estate company in terms of sales bookings. The company has so far delivered 19.2 million sq ft of real estate and has set a target to clock sales bookings of ₹10,000 crore for the current fiscal.
