According to reports from CNBC TV18, the transaction was entered into and completed on August 19, 2026, with the agreement covering both the commercial space and associated car parking facilities.
The sale involves vacant commercial premises that do not contribute to Ruby Mills' turnover, revenue, income or net worth. As reported by CNBC TV18, the buyer Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd does not belong to the promoter, promoter group or group companies of The Ruby Mills, ensuring the transaction does not constitute a related party deal. The sale is also outside any Scheme of Arrangement and is independent of any restructuring activities.
Shares of The Ruby Mills Ltd ended at ₹412.80, up by ₹1.15, or 0.28%, on the BSE following the announcement. According to CNBC TV18, Ruby Mills is a listed company engaged in the manufacturing of cotton and blended fabrics, with its registered office located at Dadar in central Mumbai. The company confirmed that disclosures relating to a slump sale are not applicable for this transaction.
