Tanya Dubash, executive director at Godrej Industries Group and member of the prominent Godrej family, has purchased two luxury ocean-view apartments in a premium residential tower along Mumbai's Worli Sea Face for over ₹294 crore, according to NDTV Profit and The Economic Times. The two apartments, valued at more than ₹2.5 lakh per sq ft, are located on the 19th and 20th floors of the ultra-luxurious Naman Xana tower. Each unit features a carpet area of approximately 5,812 sq ft along with a 645 sq ft balcony, bringing the combined area of both homes to over 11,500 sq ft, excluding balconies. The latest purchases add to the Godrej family's growing footprint in the tower, with Dubash previously acquiring a duplex apartment spanning the 30th and 31st floors for ₹225.76 crore.
The 19th-floor apartment was purchased directly from the project developer Shree Naman Residency, while the 20th-floor unit was acquired by Shaula Real Estates from Karp Estate, a company related to Godrej Industries, as reported by NDTV Profit. Both apartments will come with exclusive access to 8 car parking slots in the tower. Dubash is the elder daughter of Adi Godrej and serves on the boards of several listed Godrej group companies including Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Agrovet. The 30th-floor duplex apartment, also secured through a firm associated with Tanya Dubash, comprises 9,214 sq ft of carpet area and a 1,227 sq ft balcony.
The Naman Xana tower has emerged as one of India's most expensive residential addresses, attracting billionaire entrepreneurs, industrial magnates, and corporate leaders. Among its high-profile residents is pharmaceutical tycoon Leena Gandhi Tewari, who purchased two duplex units for ₹639 crore at approximately ₹2.83 lakh per sq ft, setting a benchmark for luxury real estate transactions in the country, according to NDTV Profit. The Worli micro-market has witnessed a sharp rise in ultra-luxury transactions over the past few years, aided by infrastructure upgrades such as the Mumbai Coastal Road and strong demand for large-format sea-facing homes in south and central Mumbai. The stretch has emerged as Mumbai's "billionaires' row," with buyers including members of the Godrej family, pharmaceutical promoters and leading banking and business families.
The latest acquisition underscores continued demand for trophy homes despite moderation in broader housing markets, with industry experts noting that promoter families and ultra-high-net-worth individuals continue to view marquee Mumbai residences as long-term legacy assets and stores of value. The ultra-luxury residential tower has attracted other high-profile buyers, highlighting sustained interest in premium Mumbai residences as investment opportunities. The Economic Times reports that the Godrej family's latest purchases reflect their strategic approach to acquiring premium real estate in Mumbai's most sought-after locations, making this one of the country's most expensive residential deals.
