Realty firm Brigade Group has announced a strategic partnership with Primus Senior Living to develop three housing projects specifically for elderly people across South India. According to PTI, the partnership was formally announced in a regulatory filing on Thursday, with Brigade Enterprises confirming the collaboration with Primus Senior Living, an expert in the senior living segment. The partnership will launch three senior living communities across Bengaluru and other geographies in South India. The collaboration represents a significant expansion of Brigade Group's footprint in the senior living segment, building upon the success of their first community, Parkside at Brigade Orchards, which has been operational since 2017.
The upcoming projects are estimated to generate revenue of approximately ₹750 crore, as reported by PTI. Two of the three projects are strategically integrated within larger township developments, providing additional revenue streams and operational synergies. The portfolio is expected to comprise over 600 units, marking a significant expansion of Brigade's senior living platform. This substantial revenue projection underscores the scale and scope of the partnership between the two companies in the senior living sector.
Established in 1986, Brigade Enterprises is recognized as one of India's leading property developers. According to PTI, Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises, emphasized that this partnership represents a significant step in expanding the company's senior living footprint. The collaboration aims to create an ecosystem that caters to diverse life stages by integrating senior-first design and maintaining the highest standards of planning, care and implementation. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, Shankar stated this partnership is a significant step in their efforts to expand Brigade Group's footprint in senior living.
Adarsh Narahari, Founder and Managing Director of Primus Senior Living, outlined their vision for the partnership, stating it allows them to bring Primus's health span-increasing model into high-quality, multi-generational communities. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, together with Brigade, they aim to create new Blue Zones in India, places where elders live with dignity, purpose and joy. This health-focused approach aligns with the company's mission to provide comprehensive senior living solutions that prioritize wellness and quality of life for elderly residents. Age-specific amenities will be planned across the developments including wellness centres, medical bays, hobby lounges, and community engagement programmes.
Primus Senior Living has announced ambitious expansion plans with ₹2,200 crore investment to develop 5 million sq ft of senior living homes across India within five years.
