Financial journalist and value investing expert Vishal Khanduja is conducting his full-day offline Value Investing Workshop across three major Indian cities this September. According to reports from Safal Niveshak, the workshop schedule includes Chennai on Sunday, 6th September, Bengaluru on Sunday, 20th September, and Mumbai on Sunday, 27th September. The workshop is described as a comprehensive value investing training session with very few seats remaining in each city, with registration closing once all available spots are filled.
In his latest newsletter titled 'The Price of Everything', Khanduja presents a unique perspective on investment decision-making, emphasizing that money represents time rather than just financial value. As reported by Safal Niveshak, he argues that money serves as a translator for time - the hours of one's life exchanged for purchases. The financial journalist suggests that instead of viewing purchases in rupees, investors should consider the actual time commitment required for each investment decision.
Khanduja shares personal insights from his career transition, revealing that in 2011, he walked away from an eight-year equity research position that paid well but made him realize he was trading finite life hours for a version of life he might not have time to experience. According to the report, this experience led him to develop a framework for evaluating investment decisions by asking 'how many hours of my life does this cost me, and is the thing worth the hours?'
The workshop focuses on value investing principles and long-term investment strategies, with Khanduja emphasizing the importance of understanding that money runs in both directions while life runs in one direction. As reported by Safal Niveshak, the training covers various aspects of value investing including fundamental analysis, company evaluation, and long-term wealth creation strategies. The sessions are designed to provide participants with practical tools for making informed investment decisions that align with their financial goals.
