
Axis Bank has appointed Rajeev Mantri as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel, effective September 28, 2026. The decision was taken by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on July 18, 2026, based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee. The 49-year-old Mantri brings nearly three decades of experience across banking, financial services, credit information, consumer goods, and international financial institutions. His career includes tenures at leading global and Indian banks such as Citibank, Standard Chartered, and Mashreq across India, Singapore, and the UAE. Mantri is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI India and holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD Business School, Singapore. The Board meeting commenced at 9.00 am IST and concluded at 3:55 pm IST, with the disclosure made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to reports from Personal Finance News, Axis Bank operates a comprehensive credit card portfolio spanning over 50 variants, ranging from no-fee entry-level cards to premium offerings. The bank's Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC) document establishes that joining fees are levied after card activation, with the anniversary year defined as a 12-month period from card issuance date. The MITC document notes that these terms are subject to change and are additional to the Cardholder Agreement terms and conditions.
As reported by Personal Finance News, seven Axis Bank credit cards carry no joining or annual fees: Axis Bank Infinite, LIC Credit Cards, Kwik, FIBE Axis Bank, IKEA Family, Axis Bank SuperMoney RuPay, and Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Cards. The Pride Platinum and Pride Signature cards feature nil joining fees with annual fees of ₹250 and ₹500 respectively, both waivable on specified spend thresholds. The Axis Bank Easy Gold cards for salaried and self-employed maintain nil joining fees and an annual fee of ₹100.
According to the MITC document, the Axis Bank Primus Credit Card carries the highest joining fee of ₹5,00,000 and annual fee of ₹3,00,000 for cards issued after July 31, 2024. The Burgundy Private The One Card charges ₹1,00,000 for both fees, though it is extended on a complimentary basis to clients maintaining a Total Relationship Value of ₹5 crore or above in the preceding month. The Select Credit Card charges ₹3,000 for both fees, but is nil for Burgundy account holders with annual fee waived on ₹8 lakh.
As reported by Personal Finance News, the add-on card fee is nil across the entire portfolio except for the Primus Credit Card, which includes one complimentary add-on card. For subsequent add-on cards (up to four), the fee is ₹25,000 for cards issued after July 31, 2024. The MITC document clarifies that for Select, Reserve, Magnus, and Magnus for Burgundy cards, spend thresholds for annual fee reversal will exclude transactions identified through merchant category codes including rent, wallet, utilities, government institutions, EMI conversions, cash withdrawals, insurance, gold, and fuel.
