
As many as 39 companies including Maruti Suzuki India, Grasim Industries, IDFC First Bank, KEC International, Lodha Developers, Great Eastern Shipping, and others are set to turn ex-record date for dividends on Friday (August 7), making Thursday (August 6) the last day for interested investors to buy shares and be eligible for payments. According to The Economic Times, these companies collectively offer dividend payouts worth nearly ₹437.95 per share. As per Sebi's T+1 settlement cycle, investors must buy shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure shares are credited to their demat accounts in time and become eligible for the corporate action.
Maruti Suzuki India leads the pack with the highest dividend payout at ₹140 per share, while Sagility Ltd announces the lowest dividend at ₹0.10 per share. Chennai Petroleum Corporation will pay a substantial final dividend of ₹54 per share, Great Eastern Shipping offers an interim dividend of ₹14.4 per share, and Lodha Developers pays a final dividend of ₹4.25 per share. KEC International will pay a final dividend of ₹5.5 per share, United Breweries offers a final dividend of ₹10 per share, and Venus Remedies pays ₹10 per share. Other notable companies include Alkem Laboratories (₹10 per share), PI Industries (₹10 per share), Sharda Cropchem (₹9 per share), and Shyam Metalics (₹2.7 per share).
This development comes as Maruti Suzuki India announced significantly enhanced dividend payouts for the current financial year. According to The Economic Times, the company will pay a total of ₹4,401.6 crore as part of the dividend payout for financial year 2026, representing an increase from the previous year's ₹4,244.4 crore dividend payout of ₹135 per share. The company has declared 23 dividends since July 2004, with recent payouts including ₹135 per share last year, ₹125 per share the year before, and ₹90 in 2023. The dividend is set to be paid on September 9, with today being the last opportunity for investors to purchase shares to qualify for the enhanced payout.
Fifteen companies are set to trade ex-dividend on August 6, 2026, with a combined dividend payout worth ₹141.70 per share. Among the notable new additions, Lumax Industries leads with the highest dividend payout of ₹55 per share, while Rane Holdings offers ₹47 per share. Linde India will pay a special dividend of ₹8 per share and final dividend of ₹4 per share, and Tasty Bite Eatables will pay ₹10 per share. Other companies include Praj Industries (₹3.60 per share), Lumax Auto Technologies (₹5.50 per share), Black Rose Industries (₹2 per share), Hercules Investments (₹2.50 per share), and Bharat Gears (₹1 per share). Investors have until August 5 to purchase shares of these companies to qualify for the announced dividends.
Beyond dividend payments, Tembo Global Industries will turn ex-record date for a stock split from ₹10 to ₹1 per share. Other companies turning ex-record date for final dividends include Bhagwati Autocast and Jayant Agro-Organics (both ₹3.5 per share), Mukand, Netweb Technologies India, and Quess Corp (all ₹3 per share each), Shyam Metalics And Energy (₹2.7 per share), Aarvi Encon and Wonderla Holidays (₹2 per share each), Arvind Fashions (₹1.6 per share), and Rubicon Research, Sahyadri Industries, Shri Dinesh Mills, Tube Investments of India, and Varroc Engineering (₹1.5 per share each). Cholamandalam Financial Holdings will pay ₹1.3 per share, while Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands and BN Rathi Securities will pay ₹0.5 per share each.
