According to the latest 360 One Wealth Creators List 2026 prepared with Crisil Intelligence, India's 3,040 richest individuals now hold ₹104 lakh crore in wealth, representing nearly 30% of the country's nominal GDP. The report studied a ₹330 lakh crore wealth base across listed and unlisted holdings, with the final list including individuals with wealth above ₹425 crore each. This concentration highlights the significant disparity in wealth distribution among India's ultra-high-net-worth individuals, with the top 10 individuals alone accounting for ₹19.72 lakh crore, or 19% of total list wealth. The bottom half of these individuals, around 1,520 Indians, account for only around 9% of the total wealth, while the top 100 hold about 46% of the total wealth.
Women account for 24% of the wealth creators, representing 738 of the 3,040 individuals in the report, up from 559 last year. These women hold ₹22.6 trillion in wealth, accounting for about 23% of the total wealth covered in the 360 One Wealth Creators List 2026. Their average holding is ₹3,184 crore, compared with ₹3,486 crore for men. Women under 40 have the highest average wealth among all female age groups, at ₹6,542 crore. The report names notable women wealth creators including Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Rekha Jhunjhunwala, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Savitri Jindal and Manju Gupta across technology, investing, pharma and traditional business houses.
The list includes 285 wealth creators below the age of 40, who hold ₹14.5 lakh crore, or about 14% of total list wealth. Their average wealth is ₹5,094 crore each. The under-40 group includes 134 first-generation entrepreneurs, 149 inter-generational entrepreneurs and two investors. Notably, the report highlights Zepto's Kaivalya Vohra and Aadit Palicha under 25, demonstrating how quickly wealth creation timelines have compressed. Businesses that once took a generation to build are now creating large fortunes in less than a decade. The median age of new-economy wealth creators is 48, compared with 60 for old-economy creators.
The Ambani heirs — Anant, Isha and Akash — continue to hold the top three positions on the list, each commanding wealth exceeding ₹2.75 lakh crore, as reported by the joint study. The top 10 families have a combined net worth of ₹76.5 lakh crore, with the top three families being Gautam Adani and family, Mukesh Ambani and family, and Sunil Bharti Mittal and family. India now has 12 business families with wealth exceeding ₹1 lakh crore each: Adani (Adani Enterprises), Ambani (Reliance), Mittal (Bharti), Shanghvi (Sun Pharma), Mistry (Shapoorji Pallonji), Nadar (HCL), Jindal (JSW), Damani (DMart), Birla (Aditya Birla Group), Agarwal (Vedanta), Premji (Wipro), and Mehta (Torrent). The report notes that a decade ago, this club barely existed, highlighting the dramatic expansion of ultra-wealthy business families in India over the past decade.
