UTI Mutual Fund has announced the merger of UTI Children's Hybrid Fund into UTI Balanced Hybrid Fund, effective October 23, 2026. According to reports from UTI Mutual Fund, as a result of this merger, UTI Children's Hybrid Fund will cease to exist, and its unitholders will become unitholders of UTI Balanced Hybrid Fund.
UTI Mutual Fund has provided an exit window for unitholders who do not favor this merger. As reported by UTI Mutual Fund, unitholders of UTI Children's Hybrid Fund can exit or switch their investments without any exit load between September 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026. This window allows investors to move their investments to other funds within the same asset management company without incurring any additional charges.
The merger represents a consolidation within UTI Mutual Fund's hybrid fund offerings, combining the Children's Hybrid Fund with the Balanced Hybrid Fund. According to the announcement, this merger will result in the elimination of the Children's Hybrid Fund as a separate investment option, with all related assets and unitholders being transferred to the Balanced Hybrid Fund structure.
