Fintech and enterprise technology firm Paramotor Digital Technology Ltd has secured approval from SEBI to float an initial public offering (IPO), according to an update with the markets regulator on Thursday. The company obtained its final observation on August 25, which represents a key step in the IPO process that allows the company to proceed with further preparations for the public issue, subject to applicable regulatory requirements. This approval comes alongside Pushp Brands (India), which received SEBI approval on August 27, clearing the way for both companies to move towards launching their respective public offerings.
The company had confidentially filed draft papers with SEBI for an IPO in May, as reported by The Economic Times. Paramotor submitted its draft papers under SEBI's pre-filing route, which allows issuers to keep details like issue size and other key information confidential until a later stage. Under SEBI rules, companies that receive observations can launch their IPO within one year in the case of a regular filing. Companies that file their draft papers through the confidential route have 18 months to launch their public issue, providing Paramotor with ample time to complete its preparations.
Paramotor Digital Technology is led by Executive Chairperson Sonia Asher and Managing Director Rahul Anand, who bring extensive experience across banking, payments and information technology sectors. Incorporated in 2016, the company operates a diversified technology platform catering to both consumers and enterprises across India. The company's business spans consumer spend management, rewards and loyalty solutions, digital gifting and enterprise technology services.
The company's portfolio includes SpendPro, a prepaid card-based spend management platform; RewardOn, an enterprise rewards and loyalty management solution; yayyy.shop, a direct-to-consumer digital gifting marketplace; and DevStack, its enterprise technology and software development services vertical, as reported by The Economic Times. The asset-light, technology-driven business model positions the company to benefit from increasing digital adoption in consumer spending, enterprise engagement and business process digitisation. Its yayyy.shop platform offers consumers access to prepaid and branded gift cards across multiple categories, while RewardOn enables enterprises to design and manage digital rewards programmes for employee engagement, customer loyalty and channel incentives. DevStack focuses on developing business-critical software applications and enterprise platforms, helping organisations build customised and scalable digital solutions.
Paramotor's IPO comes at a time when investors have shown interest in scalable technology-led businesses, especially those with exposure to payments, rewards, enterprise software and digital commerce, according to The Economic Times. The company's diversified model provides multiple revenue streams across consumers and businesses, cutting across prepaid products, loyalty management, gifting and software services - areas that have seen growing adoption as companies and consumers move more transactions online. The approval represents a key regulatory milestone that allows the company to proceed with final preparations for its public listing, subject to completing all necessary regulatory requirements and meeting listing criteria.
