India's primary market pipeline remains robust with SEBI approvals for over ₹50,000 crore worth of IPOs currently awaiting market debut. According to Prime Database Group, the top 10 largest companies include Avaada Electro leading with ₹9,000 crore, followed by Oravel Stays at ₹6,650 crore, Zepto at ₹5,106 crore, and Credila Financial Services at ₹5,000 crore. The pipeline spans diverse sectors including power generation, financial services, chemicals, hospitality, and technology, with companies like Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India, Hella Infra Market, AGS Health, SAEL Industries, PGP Glass, and Advanta Enterprises rounding out the top 10. As reported by Prime Database Group, companies across financial services, power, technology, chemicals, hospitality, healthcare and manufacturing are preparing to tap the capital market with proposed issue sizes running into thousands of crores.
Bankers expect successful marquee listings to improve investor confidence and provide pricing benchmarks for large issuers. As reported by Prime Database, July saw 12 companies raise ₹28,584 crore through IPOs—the highest monthly fundraising so far this year. Since January, around 40 companies have raised ₹51,576 crore, with more than half of that amount coming in July. The current pipeline spans financial services, healthcare, consumer, manufacturing, technology and new-age businesses, including Dhoot Transmissions, Zepto, Shiprocket, PhonePe, Oyo and Milky Mist. According to Prime Database managing director Pranav Haldea, IPO activity has been concentrated in the latter part of the year, with the first half often disrupted by macroeconomic uncertainties.
While the IPO market has navigated geopolitical conflicts and foreign investor outflows, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have played a larger role in price discovery. As reported by Mint, the regulator is aggressively stress-testing the factual basis behind high-valuation narratives, with the strongest pushback centering on key performance indicators, related-party transactions, and vague allocations toward 'general corporate purposes.' Quick commerce company Zepto said last week it would raise funds through a pre-IPO private placement before proceeding with its public listing after facing steep valuation haircuts during investor roadshows. Despite global investors remaining selective, strong participation from DIIs and retail investors has provided a solid foundation for the IPO market.
According to Prime Database, there are about 245 DRHPs in the pipeline including 175 under Sebi observation, indicating substantial volume potential. As reported by Mint, Raghav Gupta, joint CEO of IIFL Capital, noted that several companies that had deferred launches due to global uncertainty are now actively preparing to access the market. He expects higher quality issuers and a wider sector mix, which would make this cycle more sustainable. The Securities and Exchange Board of India settled all legal cases against NSE last week, clearing the way for another mega listing, while Jio has begun marketing for its planned listing. Beyond the top 10, several sizeable offerings continue to await launch, including Torrent Gas (₹3,825 crore), Continuum Green Energy (₹3,650 crore), and Hero FinCorp (₹3,600 crore), reflecting the wide range of sectors preparing to access the capital market.
