Neuberg Diagnostics has announced plans for an initial public offering in fiscal year 2028, targeting to raise approximately ₹3,500-4,000 crore. According to founder and chairman GSK Velu, the IPO is planned between April and September 2028, depending on market conditions and company readiness. The offering will include both fresh issue and secondary components for existing private equity investors, with the IPO potentially in the range of ₹3,500-4,000 crore. As reported by The Economic Times, the company may invest around ₹700-1,000 crore across acquisitions and growth initiatives prior to the IPO.
The Chennai-based diagnostics company plans to raise ₹500 crore through a pre-IPO funding round over the next 3-6 months to finance 4-5 acquisitions as part of its pan-India expansion strategy. As reported by The Economic Times, Neuberg expects to invest ₹700-1,000 crore through fresh capital, internal accruals and debt to fund its growth initiatives. The company aims to become the second-largest player in the diagnostics market, with GSK Velu stating that "we believe we can be in a strong position to emerge as the number two player."
Neuberg Diagnostics reported gross revenue of ₹1,400 crore in FY26. The company is focusing on new-generation diagnostic technologies, particularly genomics testing and longevity programmes for health and wellness. According to executive director and president Kavya Velu, new-generation tests are expected to contribute 25% of revenue within three years, up from the current 15%. This represents a significant shift in the company's revenue composition as it pivots toward advanced diagnostic technologies.
As part of its western India expansion, Neuberg is launching a preventive health centre in Mumbai offering new-generation tests based on genetics, pathology and radiology. The company's immediate focus includes Mumbai, Maharashtra, Delhi and the NCR region. According to Kavya Velu, the strategy emphasizes genomics and advanced pathology, with partnerships being established for radiology capabilities to align with the future of healthcare being preventive, predictive and personalized. The company specializes in new-generation diagnostic technologies and is betting on genomics testing as one of its key growth pillars for pan-India expansion.
