ESDS Software Solutions shares have hit the 5% lower circuit for the third consecutive session, marking a significant reversal from their exceptional post-IPO performance. The stock, which had surged 325% in just seven sessions after listing at a 76% premium, is now experiencing profit booking pressure as investors begin to book gains following the blistering rally that made ESDS 2026's standout IPO performer. The stock opened at ₹1,646.85 today, significantly lower than the previous close of ₹1,733.50 on Wednesday, with the latest decline representing the third straight session of profit booking pressure.
ESDS Software Solutions Limited has introduced Swaraj Sethu, a unified DevSecOps platform designed to streamline software delivery and security across enterprises. According to company reports, the platform brings together the software delivery lifecycle in a single, secure and governed workspace, supporting multiple capabilities including development, deployment, infrastructure, monitoring and security. The platform is positioned to complement Swaraj Cloud, ESDS's AI Autonomous Architect Cloud Platform, across the software development and delivery lifecycle.
As reported by ESDS Software, Swaraj Sethu offers comprehensive enterprise-level functionality including multi-tenancy, granular role-based access, context switching across tenants and environments, single sign-on, secrets management and comprehensive audit trails. The platform integrates more than 52 services across the ecosystem, creating an integrated, indigenous technology environment that provides organizations greater freedom to innovate while retaining control over their digital operations. According to Komal Somani, Whole Time Director at ESDS Software Solution Limited, this integrated approach enables enterprises to achieve greater control over their applications through a unified workspace.
ESDS Software's initial public offering delivered exceptional returns, listing at ₹757 per share on September 4 with a 76.46% premium from its issue price of ₹429 per share. The ₹720-crore IPO had a price band of ₹408-429 per share, and as reported by market data, the stock has delivered close to 20% returns within a week of its listing. The stock was trading 5% lower at ₹1,712.05 per share on BSE with a market capitalization of ₹20,067.10 crore at 1:22 pm on Wednesday, after touching an intraday high of ₹1,824.80 per share before hitting lower circuit. ESDS Software Solution is an AI-enabled cloud, managed services, data centre infrastructure and software solutions provider.
The investment comes at a time when demand for cloud computing, data storage, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure is accelerating, potentially creating a favourable operating environment for companies such as ESDS. According to international brokerage Nomura, India's data centre IT load has expanded from around 350 MW in 2019 to nearly 1.5-1.6 GW in 2025, translating into a CAGR of about 29%, compared with roughly 20% globally. A KPMG report projects the country's data centre industry revenue to reach nearly $45.69 billion by 2033, driven by rising AI workloads, rapid cloud adoption and data localisation requirements. However, analysts advise fresh investors to avoid chasing the stock and existing holders to consider partial profit booking, as much of the multi-year optimism is already priced in with limited margin of safety.
