Kolkata-based biscuit maker Anmol Industries has filed for an initial public offering worth up to ₹1,800 crore, according to draft papers filed with SEBI on September 26, 2026. The IPO will see the Baijnath Choudhary & Family Trust, Anmol's top investor with a roughly 84% stake, as the sole selling shareholder. Notably, Anmol is not selling any new shares and will not receive proceeds from the IPO. The offering is being managed by Intensive Fiscal Services, ICICI Securities and IIFL Capital Services, with the IPO structured as an offer for sale (OFS) with a face value of ₹5 per equity share. This marks Anmol's second attempt to tap public markets after an earlier OFS of up to ₹750 crore filed in June 2018, which was not proceeded with. The company will not issue any fresh shares and will not receive any proceeds from the offering.
According to the draft papers, Anmol Industries demonstrated strong financial growth in the year ended March 31. The company's revenue from operations reached ₹2,101.8 crore while net profit stood at ₹190.9 crore. The company's family-pack offering contributed 23.85% of revenue from sale of products in fiscal 2026 and generated ₹485.5 crore, highlighting the strength of its diversified product portfolio. Founded in 1994, the Kolkata-based company operates a portfolio of biscuits, cookies and cakes offered through 70 brands and exports to 31 countries. The company maintains a broad geographic presence across India, with products available in 4,266 pin codes across 24 States and two Union Territories.
As of March 31, 2026, Anmol Industries operates seven manufacturing facilities across key regions including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha with an aggregate installed capacity of around 360,965 tonnes per annum for biscuits and cookies and 16,372 MTPA for cakes. The company's manufacturing operations are supported by technology-enabled processes and defined quality control systems that help maintain consistent product quality while enabling efficient production. The company has received certifications and recognitions across product quality, food safety and manufacturing standards. Anmol competes in the Indian packaged biscuits, cakes and bakery products market alongside companies such as Britannia Industries, Parle Products, ITC, Mrs. Bector's Food Specialties and Mondelez India Foods.
The IPO is being offered through the book-building process with specific allocation criteria: not more than 50% of the net offer will be allocated to qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), while not less than 15% and 35% of the net offer will be assigned to non-institutional bidders and retail individual bidders, respectively. This structure ensures broad market participation while maintaining institutional interest. The filing marks Anmol's second attempt to return to the IPO market after an earlier attempt in 2018, demonstrating renewed confidence in the company's market position and growth prospects amid improving market conditions. The equity shares are proposed to be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE.
