Following September-quarter earnings, domestic brokerage Motilal Oswal has maintained its ratings on all seven stocks across pharma, building material, retail, oil and gas, real estate, chemicals, healthcare and financial sectors. According to reports from NDTV Profit, the brokerage's latest assessment reflects a mixed earnings season, with improving business momentum, margin expansion, volume growth and execution visibility supporting select companies, while elevated operating costs, competitive pressures, demand challenges and execution delays remain key concerns for others.
The strongest return potential is seen in Anant Raj with a 48% upside potential and a target price of ₹680, followed by V2 Retail with 35% potential. In the oil and gas segment, Mahanagar Gas maintains its 'Buy' rating with up to 32% potential upside, with the brokerage expecting a 9% CAGR in volume over FY26-29. As reported by NDTV Profit, this growth is driven by multiple initiatives including collaborating with OEMs and transporters to drive conversions of commercial CNG vehicles and providing guaranteed price discounts to new I/C-PNG customers.
In the financial segment, Power Finance Corporation has a potential of up to 26% from the report's market price, though the company reported an operationally weak quarter with earnings broadly in line but underlying loan growth remaining weak. According to Motilal Oswal, asset quality improved, resulting in benign credit costs, however NIM remained under pressure amid heightened competitive intensity and higher incremental borrowing costs. Global Health (Medanta) delivered a strong Q2 FY27 performance with revenue/EBITDA/PAT growing 33.6%/60.3%/50.3% YoY, exceeding brokerage estimates by 14%/23%/20% respectively.
Despite above estimate earnings, Motilal Oswal has maintained a 'Sell' rating on Fine Organic Industries with a projected downside of 14%. As reported by NDTV Profit, the brokerage anticipates the chemical stock's performance to be affected by longer-than-expected delays in commissioning new capacities for expansion, existing plants operating at close to optimum utilization with no potential for debottlenecking, and the macroeconomic environment.
Shares of Nykaa-parent FSN E-Commerce Ventures gained 3% to ₹365 on the BSE following the e-commerce giant's impressive Q2 FY27 performance. Nykaa reported a 207% year-on-year surge in net profit to ₹101 crore, driven by 28% revenue growth and improved margins. The company's revenue from operations increased 28% YoY to ₹3,006 crore in the July-September quarter, while EBITDA soared 65% YoY to ₹263 crore with EBITDA margin expanding by 196 bps to 8.7%. International brokerages Nomura and Jefferies raised target prices while retaining Buy ratings, though Motilal Oswal maintained a Neutral rating citing expensive valuations despite robust growth prospects.
