According to InCred Equities, Camlin Fine Sciences has been assigned an 'Add' rating with a target price of ₹480 against the current market price of ₹154.55. The brokerage firm's recommendation comes as the company's vanillin operations show signs of recovery after overcoming significant technical challenges.
As reported by InCred Equities, Camlin Fine Sciences' vanillin plant, which was commissioned in January 2023, experienced a prolonged startup phase due to technical issues including colour inconsistency and chlorine contamination. These problems delayed commercial sales until the second half of calendar year 2024. However, with these technical issues now resolved, the company is positioned to benefit from structurally tight global markets.
According to the brokerage report, Europe and the US represent key target markets for high-quality Solvay-grade vanillin, with combined consumption of approximately 14,000 tonnes per annum. Limited local capacity, gradual restart of Solvay's mothballed plants, and elimination of Chinese imports following punitive anti-dumping duties have created meaningful supply gaps in these markets.
InCred Equities projects significant price increases across key markets. US spot prices, currently at $20-22 per kg, are expected to rise to over $32 per kg by H2-CY26F. Similarly, European prices are forecasted to increase from €13-15 per kg to €15-16 per kg, structurally benefiting non-Chinese suppliers like Camlin Fine Sciences.
As noted in the report, Camlin Fine Sciences' blend portfolio spans Xtendra (synthetic antioxidants), Nasure (natural, plant-based antioxidants), and Ezential (high-value functional blends). The Vinpai acquisition strategically transforms the company into a global clean-label and natural solutions platform, providing access to approximately 3,000 products across dairy additives, flavours, texturisers, emulsifiers, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and medical alginates.
