Both stocks have formed a 'Golden Crossover' on the daily charts, where the 50-day moving average (DMA) has crossed over the long-term 200-DMA. As reported by Business Standard, analysts view this as a positive development, with near-term support levels seen moving higher on charts. The technical term indicates a shift from a downtrend to an uptrend in the medium- to long-term outlook. This technical formation, combined with the bank's record financial performance, provides strong fundamental support for the continued rally.
According to Jatin Gedia, VP Technical Research at Teji Mandi Investment Technologies Pvt Ltd, reported by Business Standard, the stock has witnessed a breakout of a five-week consolidation on the upside, suggesting resumption of the primary uptrend after consolidation. The 50-day moving average (₹76.21) crossed above the 200-day moving average (₹76.80) after a period of four months, marking a shift in medium- to long-term outlook. Gedia suggests that dips towards these averages should be considered buying opportunities as they will act as support and attract buying interest, with the stock potentially moving towards the all-time high of ₹101. The bank's improved operational metrics, including ROA of 1.06% compared to 0.54% in Q1 FY26, further strengthen the technical outlook.
As reported by Business Standard, Prestige Estates has witnessed a brief mean reversion and is now resuming its primary uptrend. The realty space is witnessing significant buying interest lately, and Prestige is experiencing a shift in its medium- to long-term trend evident from the fresh Golden Cross on the daily charts. Gedia recommends using dips towards the immediate support around the 50-DMA (₹1,520 levels) as buying opportunities, with the 200-DMA (₹1,515) used as a trailing stoploss. On the upside, the analyst suggests the stock can move towards the all-time high levels of ₹1,900.
