As of 9:27 am, RailTel shares had touched an intraday high of ₹265.65, representing a gain of approximately 5.3% from the previous closing price of ₹252.35.
HSBC has reiterated its optimism on SRF Ltd. shares while maintaining its 'Buy' rating and setting a target price of ₹3,300 per share. According to reports from CNBC TV18, this target price implies an upside potential of approximately 33% from Wednesday's closing price of ₹2,480.10. The brokerage's positive stance comes as shares gained as much as 3% on Thursday to an intraday high of ₹2,554 and were trading 2.3% up at ₹2,536.90. The recommendation appears to have supported buying interest in the stock during early trade, with the target price also above the stock's current 52-week high of ₹3,210. Meanwhile, RailTel's ₹63.15 crore order from Prasar Bharati for additional services on the WAVES OTT platform has strengthened the company's involvement in digital broadcasting and OTT infrastructure services.
HSBC highlighted that India's refrigerant market could benefit from lower Chinese exports of R32, as reported by CNBC TV18. China's R32 exports declined by 17,000 tonnes during January-July 2026, providing support to Indian producers in the near term. R32 is a single-component refrigerant (difluoromethane) used in air conditioning and heat pump systems, with China being the world's leading producer at 2,85,000 metric tonnes at the peak. However, the brokerage flagged an 81,000-tonne capacity addition in India as a concern going into 2027, which could increase domestic supply and affect market conditions.
According to CNBC TV18, a diversion of production quota towards R134a could partly offset the impact of excess R32 capacity. R134a is a common hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant used in automotive air conditioning, domestic refrigeration and commercial cooling systems. The brokerage also expects a pickup in SRF's speciality chemicals business to act as a potential catalyst for momentum. Meanwhile, RailTel's ₹63.15 crore order covers the introduction of additional features and services on Prasar Bharati's existing WAVES over-the-top streaming platform, scheduled to be executed by 11 February 2029. The contract is domestic and does not fall under related-party transactions, with RailTel's promoter group having no interest in the awarding entity.
As reported by CNBC TV18, according to 35 analysts who have coverage on SRF, 22 have a 'buy' rating, five have a 'hold' rating and eight others have a 'sell' recommendation. The 12-month consensus price target of ₹2,935.7 implies an upside potential of over 18% from Monday's closing price. However, the stock has declined about 17% since January this year, indicating recent market volatility despite positive analyst sentiment. Meanwhile, RailTel's stock opened at ₹254.75 and recorded an intraday low of ₹253.95, with trading volume standing at 5,53,546 shares. The stock's 52-week high stands at ₹412.90, while its 52-week low is ₹245, with RailTel remaining around 35.7% below its 52-week peak and approximately 8.4% above its 52-week low.
