Anand Rathi has issued a buy rating on Fine Organic Industries with a target price of ₹6000, as reported in their research dated August 11, 2026. The brokerage's optimism is driven by the company's robust Q1FY27 results, with EBITDA reaching ₹1.76 billion, representing a 42% year-on-year and 36% quarter-on-quarter growth. According to Anand Rathi's analysis, this performance exceeded estimates, supported by revenue of ₹6.9 billion (up 18% YoY, 11% QoQ) and improved operational metrics.
The company demonstrated strong margin performance with gross margin expanding to 45.4%, an improvement of 496 basis points year-on-year and 508 basis points quarter-on-quarter. As reported by Anand Rathi, this margin expansion was achieved through pass-through of higher raw material, utility, and freight costs. All plants are currently operating at optimal utilization levels, with the exception of the Patalganga unit which has room for volume growth until new capacity becomes operational.
The management has provided timelines for key expansion projects, with the JNPA SEZ plant expected to commence operations in H2FY28, approximately 30 months after receiving environmental clearance. According to Anand Rathi's report, the company will provide a timeline for US Phase-I construction once construction begins. While volume growth is anticipated to remain moderate in the interim period, pricing strength is expected to improve due to higher vegetable oil prices, with the raw material basket price increasing 5-15% quarter-on-quarter driven by biodiesel demand from higher crude oil prices.
The company maintains a strong financial position with ₹14 billion in cash reserves and expected cash generation of ₹7.5 billion over FY27-28. As reported by Anand Rathi, these projects can be funded entirely through internal accruals, supporting the company's expansion plans. The brokerage believes the new capacity starting from H2FY28 will drive significant scale-up and strong monetization in the long term, despite a fairly capped FY27 performance.
