
Ramky Infrastructure Ltd has secured a significant ₹1,401.84 crore EPC contract for the Dighi Port Industrial Area (DPIA), Phase 1, Package A project, according to reports from CNBC TV18. The contract was signed with Maharashtra Industrial Township Ltd and includes both GST and operations & maintenance (O&M) revenues. The project is scheduled for completion within 930 days from the appointed date, with a four-year operations and maintenance period from the commercial operation date, extendable upon mutual agreement.
The comprehensive EPC contract encompasses end-to-end delivery from design and engineering to construction, testing, commissioning, and performance-based operations. As reported by CNBC TV18, the project scope includes industrial-area networks, roads and allied structures, stormwater systems, water treatment and distribution, sewerage systems, recycled water distribution, power distribution, and utility ducts for ICT. Ramky Infrastructure will execute the project using its internal engineering, planning, and commissioning capabilities, supported by standardised monitoring and delivery controls.
According to CNBC TV18, Maharashtra Industrial Township Ltd is a special purpose vehicle formed with equity participation from the Government of India and the Maharashtra state government for developing Parcel B of DPIA in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Sunil Nair, CEO of Ramky Infrastructure Ltd, stated that this contract reinforces the company's execution-led strategy focused on selective, large-format opportunities where engineering depth, commissioning discipline, and lifecycle accountability are critical. The CEO emphasized that DPIA represents a high-importance industrial corridor assignment requiring predictable commissioning and performance outcomes.
Despite securing this major contract, shares of Ramky Infrastructure Ltd ended at ₹430.00, down by ₹15.15, or 3.40% on the BSE, as reported by CNBC TV18. The stock decline occurred on the same day as the contract announcement, indicating mixed market sentiment toward the infrastructure company's performance despite the significant contract win.
