
The Indian government has launched the BHAVYA (Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna) scheme with a ₹33,660 crore outlay to develop 100 world-class industrial parks across the country. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced that the scheme will operate in a "challenge mode" where states offering the most attractive proposals for industrial parks and business-friendly ecosystems will receive preference. Under the rollout plan, applications for the first 20 industrial parks will be invited in an initial two-month window, followed by 30 parks over the following two months, and proposals for 50 parks are expected within four months. The scheme aims to develop world-class industrial infrastructure through plug-and-play industrial parks, with the broader objective of boosting manufacturing, improving ease of doing business and accelerating India's economic growth.
