Noida International Airport has significantly expanded its domestic network by adding eight new routes on July 1, bringing the total number of destinations served to 15 cities. According to Moneycontrol, IndiGo launched 31 flights in a day, connecting the airport with Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Pantnagar. Kishangarh joins the network on July 2, taking IndiGo's destination count from Noida airport to 15. Ticket bookings for these services are already open, providing passengers from Noida and the surrounding National Capital Region with more direct travel options without relying on Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Akasa Air strengthened its presence by introducing flights to Mumbai from July 2, with the airline increasing frequency to two daily flights from July 3. The latest expansion comes just weeks after the airport commenced commercial operations on June 15, when flights were available to six destinations including Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Jammu, Amritsar, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The new routes operate with varying frequencies to accommodate different travel demands. As reported by Moneycontrol, Bareilly, Jodhpur and Kishangarh flights will operate on alternate days, while flights to all other destinations are daily. Among IndiGo's new routes, Bareilly, Jodhpur and Kishangarh flights will operate on alternate days. This operational structure ensures adequate connectivity while managing capacity for the new routes. The airport's current schedule includes Amritsar flights departing at 10:10 am, Bengaluru and Hyderabad services leaving at 2:45 pm and 2:50 pm, respectively. Jaipur flights are scheduled at 6:20 am and 3:45 pm, while the Dehradun flight departs at 7:10 pm and Dharamshala service leaves at 9:55 am. Jodhpur flights are scheduled for 2:40 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while Kishangarh flights depart at 10:30 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The airport's route network is set for further expansion in the coming weeks, as reported by Moneycontrol. IndiGo is scheduled to add two more daily flights on the Chandigarh route from July 13, with services scheduled at 6:10 am and 9:55 am. These additions will significantly enhance the airport's regional connectivity and convenience for travelers. The airport is also in discussions with Indian and international airlines to further expand its route network. Air India and Air India Express are yet to announce commercial operations from Noida Airport.
The latest expansion will double the airport's daily aircraft movements from 24 to 48, representing a 100% increase in flight activity. According to Moneycontrol, when operations began in mid-June, the airport handled 24 aircraft movements a day, comprising 12 departures and 12 arrivals. With the launch of new services, this capacity will be fully utilized, improving connectivity and offering greater convenience to travelers in the region. IndiGo and Akasa started operations from Noida Airport with 12 daily flights on June 16, with eight flights operated by IndiGo and four by Akasa. The airport is targeting 40-42 daily flights in July as it ramps up operations, reinforcing IndiGo's dominance in the National Capital Region aviation market.
The airport's existing schedule includes six destinations launched on June 15: Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Jammu, Amritsar, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. As reported by Moneycontrol, the current schedule shows Amritsar flights departing at 10:10 am, Bengaluru and Hyderabad services leaving at 2:45 pm and 2:50 pm, respectively. The airport currently has seven food and beverage outlets and a few retail stores, with officials stating that expansion of the passenger terminal, which currently has an annual capacity of 1.2 crore passengers, will start once utilization reaches around 80%, though no timeline has been announced. The airport offers DigiYatra-enabled passenger processing along with self-service check-in and baggage-drop facilities.
