
KNR Constructions Ltd. announced on Saturday, March 28, that it has secured a letter of award from the National Highways Authority of India for a hybrid annuity mode project worth ₹1,734 crore in Telangana. According to the latest announcement, the project involves the construction of four laning of NH-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar in the Hyderabad-Panaji section, under NH(O) on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) in Telangana. The project length spans 80.01 kilometers from Gudebellur (Design Km. 182+930) to Mahabubnagar (Design Km 262+940). The project bid price stands at ₹1,734.00 crores with a construction period of 730 days followed by 15 years of operation.
The contract award comes as KNR Constructions reported challenging financial results for the third quarter. As reported by CNBC TV18, the company's net profit declined 58.7% to ₹102.8 crore from ₹248.6 crore in the previous year. Revenue was down 12.4% at ₹743.2 crore from ₹848 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal. The company's EBITDA declined 34.8% to ₹166.7 crore from ₹256 crore in the previous year, with EBITDA margin contracting to 22.4% from 30.1% in the year-ago period.
In compliance with internal codes regarding the prevention of Insider Trading, KNR Constructions has announced the temporary closure of the trading window for securities of the Company. This closure is effective for all Directors, Officers, and Designated employees from March 28, 2026, through March 29, 2026. The announcement was made to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during the contract award process.
Despite the contract win, KNR Constructions shares have faced significant pressure in the market. According to CNBC TV18, shares ended the previous session 5.9% lower at ₹108.95 apiece. The stock has declined 32.6% this year so far, reflecting broader market challenges and investor concerns about the company's recent financial performance.
