Alpha Alternatives has completed the acquisition of four operational road assets valued at approximately ₹7,500 crore through its Build India Infrastructure Fund. According to reports from The Economic Times, the assets were purchased from Ap Co Infratech, KCC Buildcon, and Welspun Group. The acquired portfolio comprises operational Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and annuity projects awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL).
With these latest acquisitions, Alpha Alternatives has now invested in 25 road projects across nine states and one Union Territory over the past two years, as reported by The Economic Times. The cumulative enterprise value of these investments amounts to approximately ₹25,000 crore, positioning the fund as one of the country's fastest-growing infrastructure investment platforms. The fund has also partnered with Dilip Buildcon to enhance capabilities across the infrastructure asset lifecycle, from construction to operations.
The acquired assets feature a long residual concession life of approximately 14 years, which will create long-term value for stakeholders, according to Jignesh Shah, head of infrastructure at Alpha Alternatives, as reported by The Economic Times. These operational road assets are backed by long-term annuity and HAM cash flows, reflecting growing investor appetite for de-risked transport infrastructure assets. The acquisitions demonstrate increasing interest from domestic infrastructure funds in operational road assets with stable revenue streams.
