The Maharashtra government has commenced disbursing the May instalment of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) from Friday, June 12. According to social media posts by Monica Rajeev Rajale, Shievgaon Pathardi Constituency MLA, the process is expected to conclude by Monday, June 15. As reported by Rajale on X in Marathi, eligible women beneficiaries are anticipated to receive the ₹1,500 financial assistance in their linked bank accounts during this window.
The recent instalment release comes after significant changes to the scheme's beneficiary base. According to earlier reports, the Maharashtra government removed nearly 80 lakh beneficiaries from the scheme following mandatory e-KYC verification process. Following this revision, only around 1.68 crore women remain eligible to receive the monthly financial assistance under the flagship welfare scheme. The e-KYC process, originally scheduled to end in November 2025, was extended and officially concluded on April 30.
Eligible beneficiaries can verify their instalment status through multiple channels. As reported by Goodreturns, beneficiaries can check their registered telephone number for updates on amount credited to their account. If they are unable to obtain Ladki Bahin Yojana instalment details, they must visit their nearest branch to check the account balance. The scheme provides ₹1,500 monthly assistance to eligible registered women beneficiaries under the Maharashtra government's flagship welfare initiative.
