The Andhra Pradesh government has officially released Job Calendar-2026 to fill 3,797 vacant government posts across four phases through authorized recruiting agencies. According to the latest government announcement, the appointments will be completed in four phases through agencies including the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (APSLPRB), and District Selection Committees (DSC). The Cabinet approved the recruitment keeping in view priority areas such as infrastructure development, education, welfare, and maintenance of law and order, in line with the goals of 'Swarna Andhra@2047'. The vacancies are strategically distributed across 149 Group 1 posts, 673 Group 2 posts, and 2,991 teacher posts through DSC, bringing significant opportunities for unemployed youth across the state.
The structured job calendar reveals a systematic approach to filling the positions. 1,523 posts were already notified by the Higher Education Department on May 15, 2026, forming the first phase. The second phase will see 3,231 posts notified on September 15, 2026, followed by 2,311 posts in the third phase on October 15, 2026, and 2,995 posts in the fourth phase also on October 15, 2026. This phased approach ensures systematic progression across various departments and priority areas, with notifications expected in September and October 2026.
The 898 vacancies under APPSC are distributed across various categories with 91 Group 1 positions and 251 Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) posts in the Planning Department - the maximum number of vacancies declared by APPSC. Additional APPSC vacancies include 93 Hostel Wardens (Social Welfare), 48 Hostel Wardens (Tribal Welfare), 100 Hostel Wardens (BC Welfare), 35 Forest Beat Officers, 41 Forest Supervisors, 20 Technical Assistants, 40 Assistant Environmental Engineers, 17 Planning Assistant Directors, 25 Horticulture Officers, 95 Industrial Promotion Officers, 12 Inspectors of Factories, and 8 Assistant Director, FSL positions. APPSC recruitment notifications are expected around August 15, 2026, with detailed notifications including eligibility, syllabus, examination dates, and application procedures available on the official APPSC website.
The 2,899 vacancies under other agencies include 2,623 police posts under SLPRB with 418 Sub-Inspector (SI) positions, 1,970 Constable posts, 171 Jail Warder positions, and 64 Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) vacancies. Additional vacancies include 147 Driver Operators (Fire Department), 49 Supervisors (Juvenile Welfare Department), 80 Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (Class-A), and various other positions across departments. Female candidates can apply for Hostel Wardens in Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, and BC Welfare departments, and Police Recruitment subject to eligibility conditions. The Village Revenue Officer (VRO) recruitment is not included in the existing calendar and will be notified separately after government approval.
The fourth phase is dedicated to teacher recruitment through a Mega DSC process, covering 2,995 posts in the School Education Department. The School Education Department will fill 2,991 posts for Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), School Assistants, Instructors, and DEO posts via DSC. Adult Education will recruit 4 Assistant Director posts. Subject-wise vacancy details will be announced in respective DSC notifications. As per the government order, concerned departments must immediately furnish vacancy details, roster points, and eligibility information to the recruiting agencies, with the recruitment process strictly adhering to the Presidential Order, reservation policy, and service rules. Notification is scheduled for October 15, 2026, so TET-qualified candidates should be revising methodology and content subjects now.
