Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb announced the pilot launch, stating that the service reflects the Kingdom's commitment to making travel more convenient as its tourism sector continues to expand. The minister emphasized that integrating visa issuance with travel bookings simplifies the visitor journey and strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem.
The Package Visa represents the latest in a series of measures introduced by Saudi Arabia to encourage international tourism, as reported by PTI. The Kingdom has already rolled out initiatives including visa on arrival for eligible travelers, stopover transit visas, and other measures aimed at making entry easier for international visitors. According to PTI, citing official figures, Saudi Arabia welcomed more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, demonstrating significant growth in the tourism sector.
