RNFI Services, through its fintech platform Relipay, has successfully rolled out its UPI QR-based cash withdrawal service nationwide in partnership with Jio Payments Bank, following a successful pilot phase. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, this marks a significant expansion of RNFI's assisted digital banking offerings and strengthens its partnership with Jio Payments Bank. The service enables customers to withdraw cash instantly by scanning a UPI QR code at authorized outlets in RNFI's Business Correspondent network, with customers able to scan the QR code, enter the withdrawal amount, and authenticate using their UPI PIN before the merchant dispenses the cash.
The new feature enables customers, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas, to conveniently withdraw cash through a simple and frictionless assisted transaction experience. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, the service offers fast and secure cash withdrawals through UPI QR scan, availability across authorized retail outlets, no requirement for ATM cards or biometric authentication, and a seamless experience across all UPI-enabled applications. The service is available across RNFI's extensive merchant network, ensuring access to cash withdrawal services for customers across urban, semi-urban, and rural markets. Krishnakumar Daga, Chief Executive Officer of RNFI Services, stated that UPI has transformed digital payments across India, but access to cash remains critical for millions, especially in rural and semi-urban markets.
The service offers a per transaction limit of ₹5,000, with a daily limit of ₹10,000 and a monthly limit of ₹50,000, as reported by The Hindu BusinessLine. Through this initiative, JPBL continues to leverage the digital payments infrastructure and its last-mile BC network to expand accessible banking services, strengthen UPI's reach among cash-dependent segments, and enhance financial inclusion across rural and semi-urban India. The service is designed to serve customers who may not have access to traditional banking infrastructure or debit card facilities, providing them with a convenient and secure alternative to traditional cash withdrawal methods. The rollout is expected to drive higher transaction volumes and deepen engagement across the company's merchant ecosystem.
According to The Hindu BusinessLine, this launch marks a significant expansion of RNFI's assisted digital banking offerings and strengthens its partnership with Jio Payments Bank. As UPI adoption continues to scale, QR-based cash withdrawals are expected to emerge as a key assisted transaction channel, particularly in markets where access to physical cash remains essential. The service bridges the gap between digital payments and physical cash access, while providing first-time digital users with an assisted and secure way to experience UPI transactions. The initiative leverages the scale of UPI with the reach of RNFI's assisted network to enable secure and seamless last-mile cash access across India's diverse market segments.
