Jio Finance Platform and Service Limited (JFPSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jio Financial Services Limited (JFSL), has officially launched the AI-powered JioFinance app with an early access initiative titled ''''Finsider''. The app leverages advanced artificial intelligence systems featuring 15 AI agents and approximately 70 decision engines to assess user intent, eligibility and financial profile in real time. Based on this analysis, the platform generates customised product recommendations and adapts to individual users, with the home screen and product visibility varying according to financial context rather than following a uniform display model. The platform has been running for over a year and has accumulated over 20 million users during its early access phase, with the latest data showing it has attracted over six million users since its first launch in May 2024.
The expanded 'Finsider' app provides users access to products from JFSL group companies and over 50 third-party partners on a single platform. The marketplace displays products including home loans, loans against securities, personal loans, credit cards, insurance, UPI services, life and general insurance, mutual funds and investment advisory offerings, fixed deposits, digital gold, tax filing and planning tools, and a savings account with automated liquidity management features. The platform also features mutual funds and investment advisory services offered through its joint venture with BlackRock under the Jio BlackRock platform. Users can earn JioPoints on transactions carried out through the platform, which can be redeemed for rewards as part of the early access programme benefits. The app is integrated with the MyJio super-app, giving it access to a large existing user base from Jio's telecom and digital services.
The app introduces several innovative features designed to simplify financial product discovery. Users can access a chat feature that lets them type their requirements to find relevant products instead of browsing multiple sections. The platform will also feature automated liquidity management for higher returns and automation of certain transactions such as recurring payments and investments. Future planned features include a financial fitness score that assesses a user's financial position by looking at spending, loans, insurance, investments, and tax compliance, and 'Personal CFO for Bharat' offering guidance through a chat-based interface. The app is designed to work in a conversational way where the user types out queries or requirements, taking care of 'choice fatigue' by offering tailor-made alternatives.
The launch positions JFSL to challenge established fintech players in India's rapidly growing digital finance sector, which is valued at over USD 85 billion in 2023 and projected to reach nearly USD 1 trillion by 2032. As of February 27, 2026, JFSL's stock traded around ₹254.90, down 0.49% for the day following the announcement. The company's Price-to-Earnings ratio of 97.5 to 127.73 in early 2026 categorizes it as a high-growth stock, with analysts maintaining a consensus rating of 'Strong Buy' and an average price target of approximately ₹333, suggesting a potential upside of over 20% from current levels. The platform leverages the Reliance ecosystem, which helps it reach up to 700 million Indians, while the company's registration as a NBFC-ND-SI by the RBI positions it within the established regulatory framework.
Looking ahead, The Economic Times reports that plans are afoot to come up with a 'personal CFO' for users by scoring a user's finances by assessing savings, investments, protection across the ecosystem and also offer advice on corrective actions in portfolios. The app is hosted by JFS' wholly-owned subsidiary Jio Finance Platform and Service, which has a registered investment advisor (RIA) license from Sebi. Additional features under development include a 'Financial Fitness Score' to assess users' financial health and tools to automate recurring payments and investments. Sethia declined to share any business targets with the revamped offerings, stating that like every other business, it will have to stand on its own feet. The platform seeks to offer the best-priced deals for a customer, lower distribution costs to the supplier and eventually lead to better business for the app as well.
This expansion comes as the company announced significant capital infusion to support business growth. According to Live Mint, Jio Financial Services infused ₹2,000 crore into its subsidiary Jio Credit Ltd on Thursday, subscribing to and being allotted 33.5 million shares of ₹10 each at a premium of ₹585.70 per share, aggregating ₹1,999.88 crore. Jio Credit will use this amount to fund its business operations. In January, Jio Financial Services reported a 9% fall in its consolidated net profit at ₹269 crore for the December quarter, as reported by Live Mint. The company's year-to-date gain of approximately 13.18% demonstrates resilience in the competitive fintech landscape.
