Suryoday Small Finance Bank has partnered with fintech firm SprintMoney to enable Fixed Deposit bookings through ATMs, marking a significant expansion in digital banking access. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the partnership was announced on Friday, September 11, at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai. The three-way integration connects Suryoday's deposit products, SprintMoney's Financial Marketplace technology, and Hitachi's ATM infrastructure to create a seamless digital banking experience.
The partnership enables customers at participating ATMs to discover and initiate digital Fixed Deposit booking journeys without visiting bank branches or logging into digital banking platforms. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, SprintMoney acts as the technology and integration layer between financial institutions and distribution channels, while Hitachi's Android-powered ATM platform enables digital applications to run alongside standard ATM functions. This technical integration makes the arrangement technically feasible for widespread implementation.
Suryoday MD and CEO Baskar Babu Ramachandran stated that the partnership extends the bank's FD reach beyond traditional banking touchpoints and aligns with its financial inclusion strategy. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, SprintMoney founder Amit Kumar indicated the platform intends to onboard additional banks and regulated financial institutions going forward, suggesting broader industry adoption of this ATM-based banking model.
Suryoday Small Finance Bank, which commenced operations as a Small Finance Bank in January 2017, operates 717 banking outlets across 16 states and union territories, with a strong presence in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, product availability and customer eligibility remain subject to the bank's prevailing terms and applicable regulatory guidelines.
