The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.08% on the day, quoting at 23,927.75, while the Sensex stands at 76,618.81, down 0.14%, as reported by Business Standard. Over the longer term, Tata Power has declined 5.24% in the last one year, compared to a 6.32% slide in NIFTY and a 8.74% surge in the Nifty Energy index.
According to Business Standard reports, Tata Power has eased around 8.16% in the last one month, outperforming the Nifty Energy index, which has declined 1.45% in the same period. The Nifty Energy index is currently quoting at 39,718, down 0.13% on the day, while the benchmark June futures contract for the stock is trading at ₹384.45, down 0.5%.
As reported by Business Standard, the volume in the stock stood at 22.77 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 52.55 lakh shares in the last one month. The PE ratio of the stock stands at 110.41 based on TTM earnings ending March 26, indicating a premium valuation in the current market conditions.
