
Global index provider FTSE has announced significant index review changes effective June 22, adding Tata Capital, Lenskart Solutions, LG Electronics, Meesho, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, and Billionbrains Garage Ventures Groww to its FTSE All World and FTSE All Cap indices. Meanwhile, Exide Industries and Nuvama Wealth Management will be removed from the NSE Futures & Options segment, effective July 29. According to reports from Moneycontrol, TVS Motor Company will replace Adani Enterprises in the Sensex 50 index, while Adani Enterprises, Ashok Leyland, One 97 Communications, and CG Power and Industrial Solutions will replace TVS Motor Company, Ambuja Cements, Colgate Palmolive, and Tube Investments of India in the BSE Sensex Next 50 index. Further, Ashok Leyland, One 97 Communications, and CG Power and Industrial Solutions will be added to the BSE 100 index, while Ambuja Cements, Tube Investments of India, and Colgate Palmolive will be excluded from the index.
NTPC delivered impressive Q4 results with profit surging 34.4% to ₹10,615 crore compared to ₹7,897.1 crore in the previous year. However, revenue declined marginally by 0.3% to ₹49,687.8 crore from ₹49,833.7 crore. The company benefited significantly from a tax write-back of ₹9,062.1 crore against tax expenses of ₹2,725.6 crore. As reported by Moneycontrol, this strong profit performance demonstrates NTPC's operational efficiency despite the slight revenue decline.
Hindalco Industries faced challenges with profit declining 50.9% to ₹2,597 crore from ₹5,284 crore, while revenue grew 20.4% to ₹78,133 crore from ₹64,890 crore. The company reported an exceptional loss of ₹4,171 crore compared to gains of ₹6 crore in the previous year. Eicher Motors showed positive momentum with profit increasing 11.6% to ₹1,520 crore and revenue soaring 16% to ₹6,080.1 crore. Torrent Pharmaceuticals saw profit fall 21.9% to ₹389 crore despite revenue surging 41.8% to ₹4,197 crore. Colgate Palmolive India reported modest profit decline of 0.5% to ₹353.3 crore with revenue rising 9.1% to ₹1,595.4 crore.
Several significant bulk deals were executed, including Elevation Capital entities selling 85.98 lakh shares (1.34% stake) in One 97 Communications for ₹963.6 crore at ₹1,120.65 per share. AP Asia Opportunistic Holdings sold 4.58 crore equity shares (3.36% stake) in JSW Cement for ₹568.14 crore at ₹124 per share. Madison India Opportunities IV sold 2.47 crore shares (2.15% stake) in Pine Labs for ₹356.86 crore at ₹144 per share. Birla Mutual Fund acquired 48.05 lakh shares (0.4% stake) in Adani Energy Solutions from Qatar Holding LLC for ₹643.5 crore at ₹1,339 per share. Schroder International Selection Fund Asian Total Return sold 34.55 lakh shares (0.78% stake) in Le Travenues Technology (Ixigo) for ₹58.89 crore at ₹170.42 per share.

Aurobindo Pharma reported that the US FDA inspected Unit-I facility in Telangana from February 16 to February 27, concluding with four observations and classifying the facility as Official Action Indicated.
