Several stocks emerged as top gainers in the BSE's 'A' group on May 21, 2026, led by Protean eGov Technologies Ltd, which surged 18.23% to ₹644.35 at 11:46 IST. According to Business Standard, the stock saw exceptionally high trading volumes with 3.07 lakh shares traded compared to its average daily volume of 26,846 shares over the past month. Sansera Engineering Ltd was the second biggest gainer, spiking 14.08% to ₹2,835.1 with 85,075 shares traded versus its average of 28,217 shares. Honeywell Automation India Ltd soared 12.35% to ₹33,900 with 3,155 shares traded against its average of 472 shares, while IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd added 8.90% to ₹23.01 with 47.9 lakh shares traded compared to its average of 10.05 lakh shares.
In the commodities market, Brent crude for July 2026 settlement advanced $1.07 or 1.02% to $106.09 a barrel. According to Business Standard, the rupee edged higher against the dollar, with the partially convertible rupee hovering at 96.3200 compared with its close of 96.8600 during the previous trading session. These developments support the positive sentiment in commodity-linked sectors.
