Shares of Anthem Biosciences closed Friday's trading session at ₹862.30, down 1.17% from the previous close of ₹872.55. The stock traded in a range of ₹842.20 to ₹880.20 during the session, with an average price of ₹861.20 for the day. According to CNBC TV18, the block deal price was approximately 3.29% below the closing price. The stock has gained 34.80% so far in 2026, with the company's market capitalization standing at ₹48,564.31 crore at Friday's closing price. The stock reached a 52-week high of ₹977.55 and touched a 52-week low of ₹579.15 on February 2, 2026. Over the last six months, the stock has increased by 19.72% and is up 11.59% on a year-on-year basis.
Anthem Biosciences reported mixed financial results for the first quarter of FY27. As reported by The Economic Times, the company's total income declined 21.3% year-on-year to ₹443.11 crore from ₹563.02 crore. The profit after tax fell 11.7% year-on-year to ₹119.94 crore from ₹135.79 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Profit before tax declined 22.4% to ₹144.58 crore from ₹186.25 crore, while earnings per share stood at ₹2.11, compared with ₹2.42 a year earlier.
The company's shares listed at ₹723.05 apiece, representing a premium of 26.85% over the IPO issue price. At Friday's closing price of ₹862.30, Anthem Biosciences shares were trading at a premium of approximately 51.11% over the IPO issue price of ₹570 per share. According to The Economic Times, assuming no other changes in its shareholding since June 30, Portsmouth's estimated holding after the transaction would stand at 1,23,96,327 shares. The buyer's identity was not immediately available.
