
According to the latest exchange filing dated August 14, 2026, Patanjali Foods delivered exceptional Q1 FY27 results with consolidated profit rising 86.7% year-on-year to ₹336 crore, compared with ₹180 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income grew 29% to ₹11,337 crore during the April-June period, with the company achieving its fourth consecutive record quarterly revenue. EBITDA increased 69% to ₹543 crore, while EBITDA margin improved to 4.8% from 3.7% a year ago. CEO Sanjeev Asthana highlighted the company's focus on brand-building, distribution expansion, integrated sourcing and cost management amid a dynamic operating environment. As per The Economic Times, the company reported gross profit of ₹1,521.97 crore, representing a 35.22% YoY increase, translating into a gross profit margin of 13.42%. The FMCG segment contributed 25.65% of consolidated revenue and 29.56% of consolidated EBITDA, excluding inter-segment revenue and unallocable income respectively.
The FMCG segment emerged as the key growth driver with revenue rising 35.39% year-on-year to ₹2,937.75 crore and contributing 25.65% to consolidated revenue and 29.56% to consolidated EBITDA. The edible oil business also delivered robust performance with revenue growing 27.28% to ₹8,504.72 crore, reaching this level during the quarter. Both the edible oils and biscuits businesses recorded their highest-ever quarterly revenue during the June quarter. The company's oil palm plantation area under cultivation stood at 1,15,861 hectares as of June 2026. Asthana noted that investments in manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, along with improved execution, helped support the strong performance despite challenging market conditions. As per The Economic Times, Q1FY27 marked the company's highest-ever revenue in its Edible Oils and Biscuits businesses, supported by brand-building efforts and distribution expansion initiatives.
Despite strong financial performance, Patanjali Foods faced inflationary pressures during the quarter. Retail inflation rose from 3.48% in April to 3.93% in May and 4.38% in June, while food inflation accelerated to 5.32% in June from 4.78% in May. The company noted that rural inflation continued to remain ahead of urban inflation, while rural consumption broadly continued to outpace urban markets. Asthana flagged delayed monsoon conditions and El Niño as potential factors that could influence rural demand and agricultural output, highlighting the challenging operating environment the company navigated during the quarter. Alongside the strong financial results, the board declared interim dividends totaling ₹2.30 per share - a third interim dividend of ₹1.50 per share for FY26 and a first interim dividend of ₹0.80 per share for FY27. The record date for both dividends has been fixed as August 21, 2026, with payment scheduled to be made on or before September 12. The company also announced the reappointment of Acharya Balkrishna as Chairman and Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming annual general meeting.
