According to Business Standard, sectoral indices are trading mixed today with stocks in IT sector and FMCG sector witnessing buying support, while stocks in auto sector and metal sector faced selling pressure.
The Nifty FMCG index emerged as the top performer, jumping 3.62% to 8,496.60, recovering from a 2.44% decline in the two consecutive trading sessions. As reported by Business Standard, major FMCG stocks delivered strong gains with Nestle India up 1.95%, Hindustan Unilever rising 1.74%, Colgate-Palmolive (India) gaining 1.65%, Godrej Consumer Products advancing 1.56%, Britannia Industries up 1.45%, ITC rising 1.2%, Marico gaining 0.84%, Emami up 0.67%, Dabur India advancing 0.41%, and United Spirits rising 0.33%. According to Equitymaster, HUL, Nestle and Trent are among the top gainers today in the FMCG sector.
CMR Green Technologies settled at ₹247.90 on the BSE, representing a premium of 29.11% compared to its issue price of ₹192. The stock debuted at ₹275.40, marking a premium of 43.44% to the issue price, with the stock hitting a high of ₹275.40 and a low of ₹247.90. The stock has traded in a range of ₹247.90 to ₹275.40 with over 38.22 lakh shares traded on the BSE, according to Business Standard.
Reliance Industries (RIL) shed 0.79% following the announcement of a partnership with Meta Platforms to develop an AI-enabled data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat. As reported by Business Standard, RIL will build a 168 MW data centre for Meta, with the facility expected to be delivered within two years. The agreement also includes an option to scale up capacity in the future.
