
Marval Guru Fund, a part of Toronto-based India-focused investment firm Marval Capital, has offloaded 2.1% stake in Shankara Building Products to Ballygunge Family Trust through open market transactions on February 20. According to reports from Moneycontrol, the transaction involved 5.1 lakh shares (equivalent to 2.1% of paid-up equity) sold for ₹5.35 crore at a price of ₹105 per share. This sale reduces Marval Guru Fund's total holding in the home improvement and building materials retailer from 3.55% as of December 2025.
The stake transfer triggered significant market movement, with Shankara Building Products shares soaring 2% to ₹105.27 amid high than average volumes. As reported by Moneycontrol, the positive market reaction reflects investor confidence in the company's prospects following the strategic stake transfer. The transaction demonstrates active institutional participation in the building materials sector.
In a separate transaction, MIC Electronics saw promoter entity R R K Enterprise sell 20 lakh shares (0.82% stake) in the Hyderabad-based LED video displays and lighting solutions manufacturer at ₹41 per share, amounting to ₹8.2 crore. According to Moneycontrol, this represents the second major transaction this week, with R R K Enterprise also selling 20 lakh shares on Tuesday, taking the total to 40 lakh shares offloaded in the current week. The stock fell 1% to ₹40.65 following the promoter selling activity.
Several other significant transactions occurred across different sectors. Baazar Style Retail rebounded after five-day losing streak, rising 1.22% to ₹332.1 after investor Ekta Halwasiya acquired 4 lakh shares (0.53% stake) at ₹328.76 per share, valued at ₹13.15 crore. Ganesh Benzoplast saw significant action with Malabar India Fund selling 10 lakh shares (1.38% stake) at ₹81 per share for ₹8.1 crore, while Goel Seema simultaneously acquired the same stake at the same price, valued at ₹8.12 crore. Energy Infrastructure Trust also attracted attention as Neo Treasury Plus Fund picked up 30.5 lakh units for ₹25.92 crore from Shahi Exports at ₹85 per unit.
