According to reports from LiveMint, early indicators suggest a mildly positive opening, with the Gift Nifty hovering near the 24,233 mark, reflecting a premium of around 70 points compared to the previous close of Nifty futures, pointing to a potentially higher start for domestic markets.
In the previous session, Indian equities came under significant pressure, marking a second straight day of decline. As reported by LiveMint, the benchmark Nifty 50 slipped below the crucial 24,200 level, highlighting continued selling interest across sectors. The Sensex plunged 852.49 points, or 1.09%, to settle at 77,664.00, while the Nifty 50 declined 205.05 points, or 0.84%, to end the session at 24,173.05.
Infosys delivered strong Q4 results with profit rising 20.9% to ₹8,501 crore and revenue increasing 13.4% to ₹46,402 crore, reflecting solid operational performance. According to LiveMint, the IT major projected FY27 revenue growth in the range of 1.5% to 3.5% in constant currency and guided for EBIT margins of 20% to 22%. The board proposed a final dividend of ₹25 per share. Tata Capital showed exceptional performance with profit surging 80.6% to ₹1,182.6 crore, supported by a 17.4% rise in net interest income to ₹2,652.2 crore. Cyient reported mixed results with profit declining 64.9% to ₹65.5 crore despite a marginal 0.92% rise in revenue to ₹1,926.9 crore.
