
Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland reported strong fourth quarter results with consolidated net profit rising 11% to ₹1,381.32 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2026. According to reports from Upstox, the company's consolidated revenue from operations increased to ₹17,246.44 crore compared to ₹14,695.55 crore in the year-ago period. The company also announced that its board has provided in-principle approval for raising ₹300 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis.
IT company Wipro saw its American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) jump significantly in overnight trading on Wall Street. As reported by Upstox, Wipro ADRs settled 18.54% higher at $2.430 on the New York Stock Exchange. The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹1,245.92 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The strong performance of Wipro's ADRs is expected to keep the stock in focus for investors.
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first Indian company to exceed $120 billion in revenue for the financial year 2025-26. According to reports from The Economic Times, the oil-to-retail conglomerate announced its gross revenue reached $124 billion in 2026, marking a significant expansion from its origins as a textile company in 1966. The company is scheduled to hold its 49th annual general meeting on June 19, 2026, where investors anticipate updates on Reliance Jio IPO and new energy ventures. RIL's media and entertainment vertical, which includes JioStar, Jio Studios, and Network18, delivered record-breaking metrics in viewership, engagement, and monetisation in FY26. Revenue from operations of the media vertical reached ₹34,917 crore, up almost twofold from ₹17,762 crore in the previous year.
Benchmark indices experienced a negative close on Thursday, marked by volatile trade and profit booking. Reliance Industries remains India's most valuable company with a market capitalisation of about ₹18 lakh crore.
