PB Money is targeting a ₹100 crore monthly run-rate for combined bond and mutual fund investments by March 2027, according to CEO Santosh Agarwal speaking to Moneycontrol. The target applies to both investment categories combined, not as separate projections for each segment. This ambitious goal represents a significant expansion from the company's current operations, which began with bond and fixed-deposit offerings in May 2025 and added mutual funds in August 2026.
The growth trajectory is built on PB Money's recent Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) licence to operate as an Online Bond Platform Provider (OBPP), enabling it to facilitate bond investments through its digital platform. As reported by CNBC TV18, the licence was announced on October 14, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the investment platform's expansion into fixed-income products. The licence enables PB Money to handle investor onboarding, know-your-customer (KYC) verification, bond discovery, order placement, payment coordination and post-investment servicing.
PB Money's bond platform is already showing strong momentum, with investments of approximately ₹20 crore in its second month of operations, according to company data. The platform operates through a strategic partnership with Paisabazaar, which is part of PB Fintech, the listed parent company behind the financial products marketplace. The partnership allows consumers to discover PB Money's bond investment offering through Paisabazaar and complete their investments on PB Money's platform, streamlining the investment journey for retail investors.
The expansion forms part of PB Fintech's broader strategy to reduce reliance on credit-originating products and build a larger investment-distribution platform covering mutual funds, bonds and other financial products. Management expects non-credit products to contribute around 30% of revenue within two years, as reported by Moneycontrol. The company is also developing a digitally delivered advisory layer that would use artificial intelligence to help customers select investments based on financial goals and investment horizons, further enhancing the platform's capabilities beyond basic investment facilitation.
