The facility breakdown shows ₹187.00 crore term loan and ₹430.79 crore term loan from IREDA, with the parent company providing an undertaking to maintain a liquidity buffer of ₹15 crores at the group level and support funding shortfalls via unsecured loans, further strengthening the subsidiary's financial position.
The one notch upgrade from CRISIL BBB- / Positive to CRISIL BBB / Stable represents a positive development for Orient Green Power Company's financial profile. This upgrade indicates that the company's material subsidiary is now rated at a higher level, suggesting improved creditworthiness and reduced risk profile for the group's debt facilities. The upgrade bolsters Orient Green Power's financial credibility in the renewable sector and may support future project financing and refinancing of existing borrowings, though continued monitoring of performance metrics, PPA execution for new capacity, and debt burden remains crucial for stakeholders. As per Energetica India, the upgrade demonstrates the subsidiary's improved financial position and strengthened debt servicing capacity through enhanced operational performance.
