Moneyboxx Finance has successfully raised ₹60 crore through the issuance of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), as reported by Business Standard. The NCDs were subscribed by Choice Finserv, Vakrangee and Vivriti Capital, strengthening the company's liquidity position as it prepares to accelerate growth across its diversified lending platform. The debt instruments comprise 6,000 senior secured debentures of ₹1 lakh each, carrying a coupon rate of 10.75% per annum payable monthly with a tenor of 24 months maturing on September 25, 2028. The NCDs are secured by a first-ranking exclusive charge over identified receivables and carry a BBB/Stable rating from both CRISIL and India Ratings, providing creditworthiness assurance to investors.
The fresh debt capital will be utilized to support Moneyboxx Finance's growing disbursement pipeline across its four key growth engines, according to Business Standard reports. These engines include secured MSME lending, livestock finance, rooftop solar finance and digital lending. The company has significantly strengthened the quality of its portfolio with a substantially higher proportion of secured lending, larger average ticket sizes and an improved borrower credit profile. This stronger portfolio architecture, combined with diversified sourcing channels, provides a robust foundation for the next phase of balance-sheet expansion. The share of secured disbursements in Q1 FY27 jumped to 87% compared to 25% in FY24, while disbursements of loans above ₹5 lakh ticket size rose to 70% in Q1 FY27 compared to only 5% in FY24.
Alongside its established branch-led business model, Moneyboxx Finance is actively scaling multiple partnership-led origination channels to diversify its customer acquisition strategy, as reported by Business Standard. The partnerships include Bachatt for digital lending, Akshayakalpa for dairy and livestock finance, and Loom Solar for rooftop solar finance. These collaborations provide access to new customer pools and complement the company's existing distribution, underwriting and collection infrastructure, creating additional avenues for efficient AUM growth. The company's secured loan mix of the total asset book increased to 75% as of June 2026 from 49% in June 2025, reflecting the broader sector trend of strengthening underwriting frameworks and targeting customers with stronger credit score profiles.
The partnership-led approach is designed to create additional avenues for efficient AUM growth, according to Business Standard reports. These strategic alliances provide Moneyboxx Finance with enhanced distribution capabilities while leveraging specialized expertise in specific lending segments. With multiple origination channels now scaling simultaneously, the company expects strong momentum in disbursements and AUM growth over the coming months. The diversified approach aims to strengthen the company's market position across its four core growth engines while maintaining focus on asset quality and responsible lending. The secured lending pivot is expected to protect margins and reduce provisioning pressure over the medium term, though the transition temporarily moderates immediate disbursement volumes.
